An exhibition of contemporary artists working in the medium of encaustic and featured in the recently released book by Joanne Mattera, The Art of Encaustic Painting: Contemporary Expression in the Ancient Medium of Pigmented Wax.

In the first commercially published book on encaustic in over 50 years, artist Joanne Mattera has curated an important collection of artists from across the U.S. and Canada, with an introductory essay by Atlanta-based editor, poet and artist Jerry Cullum and interviews with artists and dealers.
